Set the mood with warming light.
If you’re like me, you’re likely relieved to have escaped the harsh fluorescent lighting in your office
building. I actually spent more time than I’d like to admit researching the ideal light bulbs for my home
workspace—warm white, cool white? 2,500K or 7,000K?
But did you know that the key to creating an intimate environment is incorporating various sources of

Choose calming neutralizing colors.
Sometimes the simplest décor can make the greatest “high-end” impact. I like to opt for mostly neutral
colors and then add some coordinating pops of color with throw pillows and blankets. No one wants an
item that sticks out like a sore thumb and distracts from the overall look and feel of a room.
